# Caption News · 字幕新闻

A kinetic editorial style built around an identifiable subject, large captions,
selective yellow emphasis and source-backed graphics. Subject, language, duration,
aspect ratio and the primary medium are inputs of each production.

## Picture and hierarchy

- Use near-black ink, warm off-white paper and a saturated yellow accent as the
core palette. Red has a specific editorial role rather than being decoration.
- Give the main subject a clear picture region. Set large, heavy, tightly spaced
captions in short thought units, with a smaller supporting line only when useful.
- Highlight the meaningful phrase. The emphasis should follow the argument;
do not turn every word into a competing accent.
- Keep a small, stable publication/source area. Measure the label's background
from its actual contents and protect faces and actions throughout the shot.
- Use ruled dark ledgers for quantitative comparisons and warm paper cards for
documents. Preserve their units, scale and context. Recompose for the actual
delivery ratio; a landscape layout is not a portrait crop preset.

## Motion grammar

Use oversized type entrances that settle, staggered lines, horizontal highlight
wipes, quick document slides, directional camera punches and purposeful freeze
beats. A chapter boundary can use a ruled colour wipe. Each gesture has an
entrance, stable reading interval and exit on the authoritative frame timeline.

Choose amplitude and tempo from the current brief and inspected reference.
Reducing motion means tuning those parameters while retaining information
hierarchy; restoring motion means recovering the intended gestures and timing.
Neither choice is a permanent rule for every film. Brief flashes are optional
accents, never a substitute for a legible cut or a stable read.

Numerical hooks may roll or reveal into place. The settled value is exact and
stays visible long enough to understand. Animated chart geometry uses the same
declared values and scale; decorative intermediate states cannot invent data.

## Editing and sound

Picture cuts may cross caption holds when the thought remains continuous.
Documents, comparisons and closing implications have distinct visual functions.
Keep the chosen primary medium visible rather than covering it continuously
with title cards. Protect complete actions when reframing recorded material.

Use a continuous score when it serves the brief. Impacts, wipes and freeze cues
derive from named timeline events. Preserve intelligible speech and readable
holds. Voice provider, tempo, loudness and peak targets belong to the production.

## Author and inspect

Use [reference adaptation](../../methods/reference-adaptation.md),
[media selection](../../methods/media-selection.md) and
[revision delivery](../../methods/revision-delivery.md). Inspect final encoded
captions, source labels, chart endpoints, action visibility and motion. Record
actual playback and listening separately from automatic frame analysis.

This package contains no prior story, cast, source footage, brand asset or
accepted delivery. New subjects require their own evidence and assets.
