# Factual scope and source ledger

This is an original illustrative 6U-class spacecraft teaching model, not a real mission CAD model. The opening narration and on-screen identifier state this. Modeled dimensions define only this illustration. No claimed flight mass, power, accuracy, resolution, bitrate, altitude or lifetime. Board traces, cell count, wheel dimensions, fasteners and placement are authored visual design, not a flight BOM.

| Topic | Source | Use |
|---|---|---|
| CubeSat units and configurations | https://www.nasa.gov/smallsat-institute/what-are-smallsats-and-cubesats/ | Compact 6U-class teaching form; no deployer tolerance claim. |
| Nominal 6U dimensions | https://ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citations/20180002679/downloads/20180002679.pdf | Approximately 30×20×10 cm proportion; dimensions in movie labeled model nominal envelope. |
| Solar, batteries, regulation, charging and distribution | https://www.nasa.gov/smallsat-institute/sst-soa/power-subsystems/ | Cells generate in sunlight, rechargeable storage across eclipse, supply conditioning. |
| Reaction wheels and attitude sensing | https://www.nasa.gov/smallsat-institute/sst-soa/guidance-navigation-and-control/ | Wheels exchange angular momentum; star trackers and gyroscopes inform pointing. Wheel close-up is an illustrative exposed rotor, not a validated dynamic simulation. |
| Onboard computer and storage | https://www.nasa.gov/smallsat-institute/sst-soa/small-spacecraft-avionics/ | Commands, monitoring, sequence control, data management. |
| Radio, antennas, ground contact | https://www.nasa.gov/smallsat-institute/sst-soa/soa-communications/ | RF downlink and ground link. No technical performance values. |
| Heat transfer, coatings, insulation, radiators and heaters | https://www.nasa.gov/smallsat-institute/sst-soa/thermal-control/ | No ambient-air convection in vacuum; conduction internally and radiation externally. Exterior is modeled as thermal foil/coating; blanket use is mission-dependent and constrained in CubeSat dispensers. |
| Pointing for imaging | https://science.nasa.gov/learn/basics-of-space-flight/chapter11-2/ | Attitude control serves instrument pointing; camera is illustrative. |

Sources checked 2026-10-28. Visible 300/200 mm dimensions are the authored nominal bus envelope, not a measurement of flight hardware. Optical baffle, star tracker, RF patch, radiator and solar-cell finishes are deliberately distinguishable. No real manufacturer endorsement or mission branding is implied.
