# Singapore travel source ledger

Checked: 22 October 2026, Asia/Singapore. This is a production research record. The route and pacing are editorial recommendations, not an official packaged itinerary. Three days means three sightseeing days; airport time depends on flight arrival/departure.

| Claim used or available to use | Primary source | Boundary |
| --- | --- | --- |
| From Changi Airport MRT, change at Tanah Merah for the East West Line, or Expo for the Downtown Line. | [Changi Airport — Leaving the airport](https://www.changiairport.com/au/en/at-changi/transport-and-directions/leaving-the-airport.html) | Choose the interchange for the actual hotel/destination. MRT is not an all-night service; no fixed end-to-end travel time or fare is promised. |
| Jewel is in the public area, outside the transit area. | [Jewel — Changi Lounge](https://www.jewelchangiairport.com/en/changi-lounge.html), [Changi Airport — stopover planning](https://nowboarding.changiairport.com/explore-singapore/your-essential-guide-to-planning-a-singapore-stopover.html) | Visiting Jewel is separate from remaining airside. The film concerns a Singapore visit, not a guaranteed transit excursion. |
| Jewel Rain Vortex is an indoor waterfall, listed as 40 metres tall. | [Changi Airport — Rain Vortex engineering](https://www.changiairport.com/en/corporate/our-media-hub/publications/changi-journeys/2020/what-goes-on-behind-the-worlds-tallest-indoor-waterfall.html) | The film can show the actual landmark without the superlative or measurement. |
| Merlion Park faces Marina Bay and is near Raffles Place MRT. | [Visit Singapore — Merlion Park](https://www.visitsingapore.com/neighbourhood/featured-neighbourhood/marina-bay/merlion-park/) | Route ordering is editorial. The park, Sands, and Gardens form a coherent bay day, but the graphic is not a turn-by-turn walking route. |
| Gardens by the Bay and Merlion Park are Marina Bay attractions. | [Visit Singapore — Marina Bay](https://www.visitsingapore.com/neighbourhood/featured-neighbourhood/marina-bay/) | Do not imply admission to paid conservatories is included in a waterfront walk. |
| Garden Rhapsody takes place at Supertree Grove at night. | [Gardens by the Bay — Garden Rhapsody](https://www.gardensbythebay.com.sg/en/things-to-do/calendar-of-events/garden-rhapsody.html) | Official page listed 19:45 and 20:45, normally free; event admission exceptions apply. Narration says evening only, avoiding a schedule promise. |
| Chinatown has temples, shophouses, Maxwell Food Centre and chicken-rice options. | [Visit Singapore — Chinatown](https://www.visitsingapore.com/neighbourhood/featured-neighbourhood/chinatown/) | No unverified stall ranking, Michelin claim, queue time, price or opening time is used. |
| Little India is a living heritage neighbourhood with markets, murals and historical architecture. | [Visit Singapore — Little India](https://www.visitsingapore.com/neighbourhood/featured-neighbourhood/little-india/) | Avoid reducing the neighbourhood to a decorative colour palette; identify it by name and actual location. |
| Kampong Gelam includes Sultan Mosque, Arab Street and Haji Lane. | [Visit Singapore — Kampong Gelam official map](https://www.visitsingapore.com/content/dam/visitsingapore/neighbourhoods/kampong-gelam/Cultural-Precinct-Maps_Kampong-Gelam_Softcopy_11Jan23_%282%29.pdf), [Visit Singapore — City Explorer guide](https://www.visitsingapore.com/content/visitsingapore/en/travel-tips/travelling-to-singapore/itineraries/singapore-city-tour-guide/) | Bugis is a convenient MRT gateway. Chinatown → Little India → Kampong Gelam is our recommended day, not a claim that they are adjacent. |
| Access Sentosa from VivoCity via Sentosa Express or the Boardwalk. Walking via the Boardwalk is listed as free. | [Sentosa — May 2026 official discovery guide](https://www.sentosa.com.sg/-/media/sentosa/discovery-guide/2026/sdg-may-2026_en_r3-web.pdf), [Sentosa — getting here](https://www.sentosa.com.sg/en/getting-to-sentosa/) | Avoid frozen admission/cable-car prices. Select a beach and one main attraction rather than promising every attraction in one day. |
| Contactless bank cards/mobile wallets are public transport payment options. | [LTA — Plan Your Journey](https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/ltagov/en/getting_around/public_transport/plan_your_journey.html) | Eligibility and foreign-issued card fees depend on card/payment scheme. Do not claim all cards work or that it is fee-free. |
| Tap in/out with the same card and the same payment mode. | [SimplyGo — contactless bank-card FAQ](https://www.simplygo.com.sg/faqs/cards-and-charms/simplygo/contactless-bank-cards/) | A physical card and the same card in a phone wallet are different payment modes; keep the mode consistent. |
| Singapore is hot and humid year-round, with potentially heavy brief rain. | [Visit Singapore — Plan Your Trip](https://www.visitsingapore.com/content/mice/en/tools-and-resources/plan-your-trip/) | Indoor midday breaks and carrying water/an umbrella are editorial practical advice, not a forecast. |

## Recommended narrative

One compact map, three distinct days: waterfront and evening skyline; heritage neighbourhoods and hawker food; Sentosa and beaches. Put Changi/Jewel at the beginning or end according to the flight, not as an extra compulsory full-day stop. Use MRT between clusters and walk within them.

No precise budget, entry rule, visa claim, restaurant ranking or guaranteed attraction availability is necessary to explain the route. Geography, real buildings and transport relationships should be correct even when stylised.

## Final narration

The current English narration is retained in `content/narration.json`. The final captions follow that exact script, with independently derived word timing. Earlier Mandarin drafts are superseded.

The film uses **Kampong Glam**, an official alternative spelling of Kampong Gelam, to support clear English narration. [URA conservation portal](https://www.ura.gov.sg/conservation/find-a-building/conservation-portal/kpgl/) uses Kampong Glam; the [Singapore Tourism Board destination guide](https://www.visitsingapore.com/content/dam/desktop/global/about-singapore/traveller-information/destination-singapore-guide-2019.pdf) includes its English pronunciation. This spelling change identifies the same neighbourhood.

The arrival readout is a **rounded straight-line geographic distance**, not a road or MRT journey length. Changi airport (1.3644° N, 103.9915° E) to the Merlion/Marina Bay anchor (1.2868° N, 103.8545° E), haversine on a mean-radius sphere R=6371.0088 km, gives **17.504207992 km**, displayed as **18 km**. The leader connects those two coordinates directly; the on-screen note says “Straight-line distance”.
